Who We Help
We specialize in adult therapy, working with young professionals and those dealing with trauma recovery, addiction & substance abuse, and relationship challenges. We see clients in the Soho neighborhood of New York City and virtually (see below for more details).
-
Individual Therapy
We’re here to help you feel better. With our range of experiential therapy modalities and traditional talk therapy, including in-person and teletherapy options, we can help you navigate and overcome life’s inevitable challenges. Everyone deserves to feel empowered in their emotions and regulated in their bodies.
Adjunctive EMDR
If you already have an established relationship with a provider, adjunctive EMDR may be appropriate. We can work concurrently in collaboration with your current therapist.
Alternatively, EMDR can also be used as a short-term therapy approach, after completing a course of treatment, you return to your previous provider.
-
PTSD
Post-traumatic stress disorder can come with uncomfortable symptoms, such as flashbacks, anxiety, negative thought loops, or panic attacks. Our experiential therapies can help mitigate the stress of PTSD triggers and symptoms to provide much-needed relief.
-
Trauma Recovery
Distressing events—whether abuse, assault, or bullying—can manifest in unpredictable, frightening ways. We use experiential therapies to help you heal from trauma, no matter the form or when it occurred.
-
Anxiety & Depression
It can feel overwhelming when the stress of modern life tips over into anxiety disorders, including panic attacks, social anxiety, generalized anxiety, or a depressive episode. Using tailored, effective therapies, such as EMDR, we’re able to help you find some relief so you can finally exhale and reclaim your joy.
-
Addiction & Substance Use
If you are struggling with—or even questioning— your relationship with alcohol or drugs, we’re here to help. Recovery is a process, and our goal is to meet you with compassion to identify your patterns, define your goals, and help you regain control.
-
Relationship Challenges
Relationship difficulties, such as within a romantic partnership, friendship, or family structure, can often stem from a dysfunctional attachment style. Working on forging secure relational attachments—with both yourself and others—can help you feel safe and empowered as you navigate the connections in your life. We’re here to support you in managing your relationships, from codependency to dysfunctional families to dealing with a loved one’s substance issues.
-
Body Image
Your relationship with your body is lifelong, so nurturing and supporting a healthy body image is important. If you’re struggling with body dysmorphia, disordered eating, or simply dealing with changes within your body, our experiential modalities can help you find balance, nourishment, and respect for your body.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Soho Psychotherapy is out-of-network, as are most private practices in New York City. If you have out-of-network benefits, you may receive reimbursement from your insurance provider after paying the full fee directly to the practice. You will be provided with a superbill to submit to your insurance provider with all the necessary documentation. Before scheduling a session, you are encouraged to contact your provider to confirm your deductible and reimbursement rates.
-
Sessions are 50-minutes in length. Rates vary depending on the provider, from $200 to $325. Payment is required in full at the time of the session. We reserve a selection of lower fee spots for clients whose financial situation merits special consideration.
Learn about the No Surprises Act at www.cms.gov/nosurprises which seeks to provide patients in advance of their out-of-pocket expenses.
-
When beginning to work together, sessions occur once weekly and are 50 minutes long. Why each week? Much of the success of therapy is dependent upon the relationship between therapist and client, and to effect change it is important that we meet consistently. We do however, meet with clients bi-weekly if we agree together that makes the most sense. Depending on your goals, your therapy may last anywhere from a few months up to a number of years.

I see clients in person in my office in Soho, but also offer teletherapy depending on where you are and what’s most convenient for you.
Teletherapy, also known as online therapy or virtual therapy, can be an effective and convenient way of having psychotherapy when it is not possible or suitable to meet in person. Psychotherapy online can feel very similar to in-person sessions and unfold in much the same way.
Sessions are conducted online via computer, tablet, or phone using a videoconferencing platform. I use Simple Practice, which is HIPAA-compliant and encrypted for your privacy and safety.
I also offer telehealth in Florida. In accordance with section 456.47(4), Florida Statutes, I have met the requirements to become an out-of-state telehealth provider for the state of Florida. The Florida Department of Health is required to maintain a list of registrants at http://www.flhealthsource.gov/telehealth.
